Library Director

Alexis Hardiman has been the director of Lake City Public Library since January 2024. Alexis was the assistant director from 2021-2023, and a K-12 librarian for 10 years before that.

Alexis grew up in Lohrville and graduated from Southern Cal High School. She received her BA degree in English from Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, IA, and a MA degree in School Library Studies from the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, IA.
